Guitar Hero 4 hints at full band action + new features
June’s edition of “Game Informer” boasts a rather detailed preview of the up and coming “Guitar Hero 4″ with changes that can be seen coming from a mile away. In efforts to appeal to the whole band experience, Guitar Hero’s Activision adopted the instruments of the full band, including drums, vocals, and bass. Sounds the same as Rock Band right? Well, thats where the similarity ends.
Turns out that Acitivision finally got smart and made a music editing mode where all the instruments (meaning no custom vocals) can be recorded and uploaded to your system. You can apparently upload up to 5 songs, and if they’re ROCKIN’ enough, they’ll be posted online for everyone to download! Good news for Wii owners, because apparently the Wii version will be able to download songs, though the Wii’s power may not support more than 5 songs.
Some of the new artists in Guitar Hero 4 include Linkin Park, The Eagles, and Van Halen, and will be released for all major consoles (Xbox, PS3, PS2, and Wii).
