Gears of War Movie
First and foremost, I’d like to welcome our newest blogger, Heavensknight07. Thanks to him we actually have some E3 coverage. The MGH staff is glad to have him onboard.
In other news, Legendary Pictures, the production company behind big movies such as, 300, 10,000 B.C., and more recently The Dark Knight have secured the funding to start production on the film adaptation of Gears of War.
It will be directed by Len Wiseman and produced by Cliff Bleszinski. Bleszinski is also the lead game designer on the Gears of War Franchise. The fact that the game itself played like an action movie and the lead game designer is a producing makes this video game movie likely to be a huge hit.
Legendary Pictures is also behind Warcraft. Another video game based movie, based around Blizzard’s Warcraft franchise and story. This company has set a high bar for its movies with 300 and The Dark Knight. Hopefully Gears of War and Warcraft turn out to be great films as well.
