Not so much trailers as they are teasers. I was expecting a little more from the VGA’s this year. It wasn’t exactly bad as much as it was awkward. Jack Black and Kyle shooting fireworks from their crotches while fighting the ‘devil’s’ minions; exercise, reading, and healthy relationships. Not necessarily my cup of tea. Here are the videos without all the unnecessary celebrity cameos, after the break.

God of War III

My opinion? The media is has made it a point to emphasize David Jaffe’s crazed excitement over the graphics, stating that the game looks like “a painting come to life.” Personally, the graphics do not blow my mind. It looks great, mind you, but a painting come to life is a little too extreme of a description. The fact that it is using a completely original engine is much more of a feat. The movement looks real smooth and typical of what you’d expect from the God of War series. This game will make Sony and their associates a lot of money.

Uncharted II

Alright, I give. Apparently this game is good enough to warrant a sequel, I’ll give it some slack. I have always been unimpressed with this type of action game because it usually just copies what made the Tomb Raider series great and slaps on a different hero and some souped up graphics. Unfortunately, the VGA’s did not really give Uncharted fans anything in terms of… well anything. This short trailer features Nathan Drake and his usual goofy personality.
