Spring Games *why bathe in the Spring when you can stay inside*
A multitude of games coming out of the Spring Season. I just wanted to list some of the decent titles that will keep you playing inside and keeping your wallet empty. Here is the top three games that will either fail your spring semester or at least give you something to do on Spring Break.
*This list is made entirely from random. The order and significance of these titles does not by any means correspond to how good the game is or how much better number one is to number 2 and so on…and anyway we all know that 1>2 anyway*
FINAL FANTASY 13
Number one the list is Final Fantasy 13. Thirteen? Yah that’s right the 13th installment of the legendary Final Fantasy series. Let’s hope lucky number 13 comes through for all of us. Sporting the newly designed crystal graphics engine, this new Final Fantasy will definitely dish out the appropriate eye candy for everyone. If the graphics isn’t enough, the story, combat system, and the game-play will probably lure you in. If your not a fan of those then at least play it for the beautiful women, ridiculously overpowered summoned monsters, and of course who doesn’t like a female Cloud? Expect to see this title around the end of March.
GOD OF WAR 3
Coming in second is the third installment of the God of War series. Featuring some ridiculously violent actions scenes and super detailed reenactments of how Spartans killed harpies back in the day, God of War is looking very promising. According to a development diary the developers added plenty of content, gameplay, and puzzles to spice up the new series. Expect to see beautiful graphics, intricate gameplay, over the top action and of course a very handsome, muscular spartan we all know and love. Expect to see this title around March.
HEAVY RAIN
Hitting the spot at 3rd is the illustrious Heavy Rain. What’s that a title of the game named after a chemical compound? What’s that you don’t know what heavy rain is..that’s ok let me break it down for you. A somewhat spiritual successor to Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain offers a variety of new things to the gaming genre. Developed by Quantic Dream, Heavy Rain offers a dark story with unique gameplay. Not entirely action nor hack and slash but a unique combination of real time cinema and player control. Think of it as a movie where you can determine every decision and action. A definite buy for players who are looking for a different type of genre and a plot. Keep your eyes out for Heavy Rain around early February
Of course their are a multitude of other titles out there coming in the Spring. Bioshock 2, Dante Inferno, AvP, and some other great titles. But I’m sure these three games will be enough to keep your unstable addiction to a reasonable level. Expect to see some sort of Bayonetta review or that lost promised review of Tekken 6. And maybe just maybe you’ll see other articles in here by some other writers….just maybe….
